Tulumgreeted me with a rainbow over the ruins. Why would I expect anything different? Cancun and Tulum were not part of the original itinerary. It's just, here I am again I wanted to drive Playa Del Carmen, which magnetized us to Tulum. Tulum is always difficult for me to leave. Not a prerequisite to be gorgeous but seems to be the norm on the most exquisite beach camping experience I always have when I visit. Roosting here allowed me to complete some wiring issues and some minor repairs to Jim's car as well. I bounced around all thte jungles that I wanted. That credible lead that I had in search of a tower mirror of Tikal in the Yucatan may very well exist, but I simply abandoned the idea without more information and a better preparedness. A full day exploring and swimming in five different Cenotes in the city of Cuzama was ahhhhhh ... wow! And the Flamingos in Celestun were everything I expected ... and a lot more. However, the tour boat guild only introduced us the local alligators in the water after he encouraged us to participate in the most watery paradise to swim. Anyway, we totally lucked out and met a wonderful well traveled family that spoke many languages. All of us together helped split the cost of the tour boat significantly. So, far so good. just a long way to home. And more things to see and visit on the way. Eating like kings. Jim can take some of the most simple ingredients and turn out the most yummy meal ... and in a snap he's got it all cleaned up. So far we continue to maintain our balanced caravan. It's gonna be difficult to pull out tomorrow, but "all good things most come to an end." More updates later. Syncronaut, Brian
