Hi all. So it seems that residual pressure is required to aid in hot starting. (see below) I haven't tested delivery rate, voltage and current draw at pump but fuel pressure with engine running, and residual pressure engine off, test ok; Bentley specifies 29 PSI after 10 minutes. Should the fuel system hold pressure up to 1 hour or more? Thanks, Neil. http://gerry.vanagon.com/cgi-bin/wa.exe?A2=ind0209D&L=vanagon&P=R17554 http://www.motor.com/article.asp?article_ID=667 "To prevent fuel percolation and aid hot- and cold-engine starting, fuel injection systems must maintain residual, or "rest," pressure when the engine is off. All systems lose residual pressure over time. It's just a question of how fast and how much before it's a problem." -- Neil n Blog: tubaneil.blogspot.ca '88 Westy http://tinyurl.com/c8rlw6p '81 VanaJetta 2.0 "Jaco" http://tubaneil.googlepages.com/ Vanagon VAG *Gas* inline-VR Engine Swap Group: http://tinyurl.com/d7gd5ej
