I'm with David on how a microwave fits into the camping experience. But in case someone else feels differently, an apparently-identical unit also listed on eBay at <http://tinyurl.com/q3aakmy> is rated at 600 watts. At the very minimum -- depending on inverter efficiency and resistive losses in wiring -- that's more than a 50A draw from the battery. A ten-minute run of that microwave would pull at least 8 Ah out of the battery. Seems doable but make sure the wires to the inverter are chubby enough to support the 50A+ current w/o a significant drop in voltage else the inverter may shut down. -- Jack "Rocket j Squirrel" Elliott 1984 Westfalia, auto trans, Bend, Ore.
