Those are interesting. The Grumman bodies look like Postal service vans in the big cities, but I think those PO vans have Jeep innards, if I am not mistaken. There are a couple of a little larger delivery vans that hang out in the desert. Diesel powered, like bread trucks..perhaps about 20' long...Canadian. Their owners have converted them to RVs. If I were going to change from Vanagon to something more RV-like, I'd do one like that before I would go for a Sportmobile or a Sprinter.. No disrespect to those specific campers but they just don't appeal to my taste.. I have a friend who had Grumman make a cab-over cube van body that he put on a Ford powerstroke diesel van 4x4 chassis and then built it into the camper of his dreams. Very cool with a roll out rear ramp so he can ride his big adventure motorcycles right inside..a dinette made from some reclaimed cherry wood church pews, very nice large double bed over the cab, Maple flooring, etc etc...Of course, it sucks up the fuel I suppose but he takes it places where a syncro would find the going tough, and concealed within are all his toys. He parks in industrial areas when traveling through populated areas, nobody pays any attention to 'just another cube van'...
