One negative with the early vans is those dreadful front seats. They are the same horsehair and spring design as the earlier Type 2 seats, and should be replaced with the later foam captain's style seats The best thing about it is that it's in Bend, and my "new" '85 spend a long time in Bend, and is rust free. It was also full of dust, and the rubber seals on the top and rear window were shot. The cabinet trim also shriveled up from the heat. I'd also guess that the fridge isn't working because the vents are plugged with wasp nests and spider webs like mine were. Original engines are a good thing, and this one looks pretty decent for about $7500 max. I know nothing about this vehicle. But if this guy gets $10,000 for his then I'm sitting on more money than I thought. <http://bend.craigslist.org/cto/4415038151.html> Mine has fewer than 100,000 miles on it. I'm rich!
