We offer a U.S. made pump for $99 which is a direct replacement for the Bosch and has proven to be just as reliable. It does not require modification (other than terminal ends if your do not currently have ring terminals) and is far better quality than the cheap Chinese ones out there. http://www.busdepot.com/043906091 That being said, diagnose your fuel system first. A loud pump is often a symptom of a blockage somewhere - rust in the lines, a crimped line, clogged filter, etc. If that is the case and you do not resolve it, you will only damage a second pump. - Ron Salmon The Bus Depot, Inc. www.busdepot.com (215) 234-VWVW _____________________________________________ Toll-Free for Orders by PART # : 1-866-BUS-DEPOT > -----Original Message----- > From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of > Don Hanson > Sent: Friday, April 11, 2014 11:27 AM > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > Subject: Viable economical fuel pump? > > You who are on multiple lists, sorry but I am wanting opinions on this... > > Is there a less expensive fuel pump than the Bosch that works?
