You can isolate the problem by incrementally spraying suspected areas with silicone lubricant (NOT oil) and driving around. The silicone is not a very durable lubricant, lasting only a few months, but if something is binding it will give you an idea of which piece. Silicone spray is great routine maintenance for electrical, plastic, weatherstripping and rubber parts. -- Gnarlie On Tue, Apr 15, 2014 at 4:01 PM, Joe Novak <joe.novak.6@gmail.com> wrote: > yes - installed the spacers too. > strange thing is - they were quiet the first couple months, then the rain > came into the bay area > and it started to make the noise... makes me think the rubber upper > spacer's may have shifted > due to the moisture. > > > On 15 April 2014 14:19, Abel Longoria <houstonphotog@gmail.com> wrote: > >> i have the same springs on my westy... i notice a "knock" or a "clunk" >> usually only when theyre cold... meaning cold temps outside. other than >> that mine are quiet. >> >> did you also install the upper ball end spacers? >> >> >> On Tue, Apr 15, 2014 at 4:16 PM, Joe Novak <joe.novak.6@gmail.com> wrote: >> >>> Hmmm.
