Depends on whether or not you care about resale value! For the brown trim there is no exact off the shelf color, but either Rustoleum satin Espresso or Valspar's satin Java look great, but are darker. For the grey interior I don't know, but Go Westy sells gray paint for the EVC that might work but I think it's darker too. GW also has the decals for the monitor plate as well as a rebuild kit for it: http://www.gowesty.com/ec_view_details.php?id=4351&category_id=&category_parent_id= All of my metal trim (below fridge & vent panel) was so rusted it needed sand blasting, but it looks great now! So, once the thing is removed for repainting, the question becomes: in what color? something traditional? or perhaps exciting? Me, I'm thinking that being greeted by a Barbie-pink stovefront might be just the thing. -- Jack "Rocket j Squirrel" Elliott 1984 Westfalia, auto trans, Bend, Ore. Once it's all unscrewed, push down a bit and pull the bottom edge towards you away from the cabinet. The top edge is in a groove under the top of the cabinet. Tip it out and pull it down. > > Stuart > > -----Original Message----- > From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On > Behalf Of thewestyman > Sent: Saturday, April 26, 2014 3:15 PM > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > Subject: How to remove the .... > > Hi to all, > > I am trying to remove the kitchen units face plate. It’s rusty and needs to be repainted. I took out the three little screws at the bottom, but I can’t find the way how it may come off from under the stainless platform. > Anyone knows this? > > Zoltan >
