Welcome Michael, I am also an aircraft mechanic / director of maintenance and worked both Part 135, 145 and corporate for years. I have a '91 Carat with a 2.2L Subaru transplant and a grafted on Westfalia pop top. The van has rolled over 250,000 miles as of this writing. Lots of good folks on this list. @ Gnarly: a "flight department" is an arm of a company that conducts FAA Part 91 flight operations, i.e. business non-commercial flights with their own aircraft.
