Don,
the headlights might go off with the e-brake engaged, just something to try
if you have to have the key on for a while.

Those motors are really good unless you get one with clogged spider
injector.  I forget when they stopped that garbage, hopefully yours is ok.
If not you can get a Delphi SEFI conversion kit for a couple hundred bucks.

Sounds like a nice van if you can afford to feed it.
I'll never understand why the US doesn't have diesel options in their small
pickups and minivans.
