I use the common jumbo size reflective mylar springy sheets found in Wal-Mart on sale in the winter. Around the edge inside they have steel so I stick them up with strong magnets anywhere for instant shade. Even stick them on outside the van if the wind is not too strong. The trick is to have about 8 of them on hand and make a sling for them using webbing or bungees up on the ceiling. Folding them up is a bad idea, leave them stretched flat for maximum life and performance. Have clear packing tape on hand and repair them immediately on the non-reflective side in case of damage. They last about 4 years that way and you get great value. They also double as picnic table covers, rain-sleet head covers and brain shields for when the agency is scanning your thoughts.
