It is in the archives.  It's been too long for me to get everything right without looking it up myself, but I do remember that it involves a drift pin (roll pin?).  Fixing this thing is quite satisfying because the mechanics seem so odd, and at first frustrating to deal with.  That was one of the very first things I fixed myself on the beast. Interesting introduction to the world of Vanagons.  VW did some things differently, that's for sure.   mcneely
