This is for the Bostig owners out there.

Any tips for changing out the starter (manual transmission) on a Bostig setup?

I will be tackling this next week as soon as the starter shows up in the mail. I opted for the SR401X (1HP) over the stock SR19X (3/4 HP). The gear reduction one was too much for my wallet right now.�

So far, I've gotten: disconnect the battery, jack it up and remove the right rear wheel, loosen the long bolt and don't try to remove it, then wiggle the start out once the other bolt is out.

I will be doing this as a sidewalk repair as the van is parked on a slight incline so I can roll-start it if I have to.
