lol.. that's just one genre of course... old military-based acronyms. there are whole other realms of course. NRE SO OSO for example, and on and on. ( one means 'new relationship energy', one means Significant Other, and the last one is Other Significant Other ) gets complicated when people start talking about their OSO's DW's daughter . ( DW = dear wife ) lol. still got a great 87 Syncro Doka with 1.9 AAZ TD engine for sale here in So. Oregon . runs fine ...needs various cosmetics like a headliner , etc. asking price is $ 15,500 and I am pretty sure the owner would take 'any decent' offer. Needs a new home for sure. bfn ( bye for now ) Scott On 7/18/2014 7:21 AM, Old Volks Home wrote: > Clearly Alistair never served in the military where SOP was part of the > daily lingo, ad nauseum. > > :) > > Jim Thompson > 84 GL 1.9 "Gloria" > 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" > 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" > 75 914 1.8 "Nancy" > Full Timing From March 1999 To January 2012 > oldvolkshome@gmail.com > http://www.oldvolkshome.com > Find me on Facebook: > http://www.facebook.com/people/Jim-Thompson/100000710343835 > *********************************** > > > On Tue, Jul 15, 2014 at 6:36 PM, Alistair Bell <albell@shaw.ca> wrote: > >> Scott, Jim, whoever, >> >> You have to stop using jargon in your messages.
