Wow Dick, that is quite nice. I have already ripped out the drivers side boot to get to the broken wires but your method looks much better. I have found that a discrete hole in the rubber , half(ish) way along can be repaired with the bicycle inner tube patch if needed so it is still water proof. I needed to make the hole to get the wire all the way through.
