Hi Volks!  Yesterday I finished up the fabrication of my new clam shell,
with some minor buffing with a flap disc a 215/75/15 bfg all terrain snugly
fits. Not a piece of art, but functional. I posted a couple pics on the
vanagon owners group on fb if anyone wants to see. No more spare tire
sitting on the floor inside!!
