The code stamped on the block indicates whether the engine is a 1.9 or 2.1.  The Bentley book explains the code. I don't have my Bentley handy right now. The code is stamped above the crankshaft pulley. If you send it out maybe someone can decode it quickly. I can look it up sometime later today.
