Subject:Vacuum System Parts on 1.9 - "Y's" and Constrictors...

So while I am redoing my TB/Plenum I am double checking vacuum lines. I
found the 4mm at FLAPS and am zip tying every connection and all seems
tight and good to go with a few exceptions. (I had redone this before
tearing down so driven the van and all seeemed in order)

1) I broke the plastic "Y" that connects a large vacuum hose that comes off
the passenger side of the air plenum that has a small hose coming out the
side. It was pretty brittle, and I was heavy handed. I have it duct taped
together but can't imagine that being a long term fix. I am having issue
finding the part, anyone know where it might be available or the sizing of
the large vacuum tube so I can find something non VW?

2) I was reading in the manual about a constrictor in the small vacuum line
right after the "T" that plugs into the back of the air plenum. Looks like
right after the T the constrictor headed towards passenger side. I had
replaced this with a FLAPS "T" and ran the van and didn't seem to notice
any changes beyond the off idle bog I have been hunting down. Anyone know
if this is absolutely necessary or how to get one?

As always, thanks for your help and guidance!
