My tranny is on the bench undergoing rebuild!

Mechanic has advised me to obtain insulation to put up in there, against
the sheet metal floor.
This is a lovely idea!

He described foam, flexible. he's German. It was a bit hard to understand.
Anyone got a pic or an experience with this?
