I've had as many as 6 kayaks inside my Vanagon, with the passenger seat
out I stuffed an 11' solo canoe inside with no glass breakage, and once
got 30 rolls of R-11 insulation inside the van at the big box store
(BTW, both instances were with the middle seat gone.)
