Yes, the fire damaged everything on top of the engine. Everything plastic, wire, rubber, and all seals will need to be replaced. It's a huge mess, and that is why I want to take it to an actual VW shop. They will have, or know of where they can order parts. There are other smaller issues such as tail lights, new canvas and such that I can if I need to, replace myself. I do have a donor 90 to pilfer parts from. It has a Tiico engine that needs work before it will run again. Different transmission too, as the 91 is an automatic. I am going out of the country for a couple months, and need to move the van before I drive into Mexico. Maybe I just need to have it stored somewhere till I get back in the USA. The property it is parked at currently, was sold. I wish I had enough money to just drop a Subaru or TDI into it!
