Yes, either cut it and leave the part around the wind wing, or just pull the trim out of the rubber and get rid of it.  I did this, and it works and looks great.  Better, actually, than leaving the trim, IMHO.

Hi guys,
I noticed, the supplier is stating that the new scraper should fit on the old van that has the metal frame around the window.  
I’m not sure if they would really fit, but they may, only I’m not sure how if they do.  
Anyone knows of this?
