For anyone using any non-vented heat source, get a $20 battery CO detector from your favorite big box store like this one: http://www.homedepot.com/p/First-Alert-Battery-Powered-Carbon-Monoxide-Alarm-CO400/202433876?N=5yc1vZbmgk Just set it anywhere, since CO diffuses evenly throughout the space.
