Subject:Re: Rear seat comfort on a Vanagon Westy?

We have a rear facing seat in our camper. In fact, I think I bought it from you, Dennis. It was from someone on the list, anyway.

The seat does allow someone to sit with the kids and take care of them. The one caveat to using it is that with a grownup on the regular passenger seat, and a grownup in the rear facing seat, the two are actually too close together. Feet interfere with each other.

Installing a rear facing seat out of a Carat behind the front passenger seat will allow someone to ride with the kids and take care of them.

I'm mainly conserned with this distance (hard to talk etc) and comfort when it comes to having my two kids sitting in the back seat. So feedback from those of you who frequently travel with more than two persons in the car, and especially kids, would be ace.
