In my discussion of maintenance on my '91 CARAT, I failed to mention the oil filter pressure test Dennis Haynes described for us. Cold engine, start up, immediately switch off, the back to tne ON position only. Watch how long it takes for the oil light to come back on. This is an indication how well the filter is holding oil in the oil galleries. In my case, the oil light stayed off for several seconds . So the filter valve is doing good. My question is, however, does this also reflect somewhat the condition of the bearings? John
