Hi Jack, After hearing horror stories about GEX online and in person for the last 20 years I have to think there has to be a flame somewhere under all that smoke. I personally know someone who bought a rebuilt air-cooled engine from GEX that was advertised as assembled with new parts. After it failed under warranty he disassembled it to discover it had used con rods from three different vendors. He took them to small claims court and won, and they never paid out. GEX Also used to apply a special sticker to the engine that would melt if the engine were overheated, voiding the warranty. It was not uncommon for these to fall off during regular use, voiding the warranty through no fault of the owner. GEX's quality control and lack of warranty support is legendary amongst air-cooled drivers, and not in the good way.
