I looked at a friend's Vanagon today after helping him install the trans yesterday, he was stranded and had to get towed. Todaywe found all five flywheel bolts are sheared off. Do you know the best way to get the broken bolts out?I think the bolts backed out because he used Permatex Thread Sealer which has Teflon in it, when he should have used thread locker.
