Not skewed... all vehicles were in good operating condition. Out of 8 cats, 4 had to be replaced under warranty for falling apart inside, not contamination, just defective. -----Original Message----- From: PSD [mailto:psdooley@verizon.net] Sent: Monday, March 30, 2015 10:08 AM To: 'Jeff'; vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: RE: Cold Air Intake Of course that's a function of mixture control and other sources of contamination. Unfortunately some cats get replaced because they failed but root problem was never addressed. Not saying the Magnaflows are gold, just the data could be skewed some. -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Jeff Sent: Monday, March 30, 2015 12:54 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: Cold Air Intake The GW CARB approved cat is actually a Magnaflow cat. FWIW... I have seen a 50% failure rate on those cats over the last few years. They seem to fall apart inside. The good news is that they have a 5 years warranty. Cheers, Jeff
