I've seen a few vans that have done this, and I don’t like the edge either. And, you can't see the rust forming underneath. Just don't get into any fender benders, this stuff makes body work a PITA. Good news is small dents won't show, and larger ones could probably be worked out with "paintless" dent removal tools. Here is a nice example with black bumpers you can get a good look at (if it hasn’t sold yet): http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1771249 Stuart -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of adam butler Sent: Tuesday, March 31, 2015 9:52 AM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Rapture Texture Coating-Go Westy Any body, here on this great list use this stuff? http://www.gowesty.com/ec_view_details.php?id=23977&category_id=347&category_parent_id= If you're interested in giving your vehicle the "GoWesty" look, we recommend this texture coat kit, which contains everything you'll need to help protect your vehicle from road debris (and look great, to boot!). For more information on the black texture treatment take a look at our library article Black Texture Treatment, Steel Bumpers, South African Mud Flaps <http://www.gowesty.com/library_article.php?id=845>. Kit includes: • (4) 25 oz. bottles base material • 1 liter bottle of activator/hardener • Spray gun (compressor required) Features: • Covers 125 square feet of area • Can be applied to virtually any surface • Dampens road noise • UV, abrasion, and stain resistant • Texture can be customized by the air pressure used They have a great article about it, I plan to pull everything and spot everything under and outside before I head indoors of the vanagon. adam=
