I saw no appreciable difference in performance or MPG with the installation of the K&N on my 2.1 Syncro motor, installed in my 84 Westy.
The one advantage is the ability to clean and re-oil the filter.  Wallet weight savings therefore diminishes over time.

With what seems to be the easiest horsepower gain, I continuously wonder and search for a good cold air/direct air intake.
Has anyone pieced together a K&N Filter system.
