But there's a guy in the FB group who says he's 
been working professionally on Subaru engines for 
fifteen years, and nobody knows how long an EJ 
series engine will last because at half a million 
miles they still have fresh cross-hatching in the 
bores and no drop in oil pressure and there's no 
point in splitting the case.  That gives me a 
warm feeling about the EJ22 in the '95 Legacy I 
recently "inherited" as a daily driver/go to the 
FLAPS car.  Maybe it will end up in the van one day.
