Hi, I have an automated archiving system so that I can have the list available on my laptop when I don't have Internet connectivity. It automatically makes a copy of any incoming emails into an "archive" folder. I have all the list emails (that reached me) in a single file (per year) in a very standard, text format called "mbox". This is the historical format for email storage in the Unix world. I've got archives back to about March 2006. I did miss about a month in 2014 of email when my personal email server was down & it was going to a backup and not getting archived. 2015 zips up to 5 meg. $ ls -l total 1571968 -rw------- 1 steve steve 45,587,317 Nov 27 2011 2006 -rw------- 1 steve steve 100,778,802 May 14 2010 2007 -rw------- 1 steve steve 98,554,735 Nov 27 2011 2008 -rw------- 1 steve steve 87,731,270 May 14 2010 2009 -rw------- 1 steve steve 98,490,119 Nov 27 2011 2010 -rw------- 1 steve steve 101,425,086 Feb 12 2012 2011 -rw------- 1 steve steve 95,416,444 Jan 3 2013 2012 -rw------- 1 steve steve 90,310,624 Jan 3 2014 2013 -rw------- 1 steve steve 65,278,136 Feb 3 22:53 2014 -rw------- 1 steve steve 20,787,145 May 1 17:51 2015 I'm not sure if anyone could benefit from this, but I thought I'd throw it out there.
