I think for the price of a new gasket, I would pull the valve cover and look
at a couple cam caps. Although you didn't run it long, the valve springs
produce a lot of pressure and since there is no bearing the cap will  "galld
quickly". Be sure and replace them in the right orientation, they are line
bored like the main journals.
