Subject:Re: Advice on TD engine problem

I took the weekend off since it was my birthday, and I just wanted some
time to think and reflect on what was going on. The head gasket is
actually on correctly. I am going to make a special tool and prime the
heck out of the engine before we try to start it again. The kit came with
a complete motor so I really didn't have to do anything to it. I did
install the oil filter dry because it is on a pretty steep angle and I
didn't want to spill oil everywhere. Maybe that is one of the reasons why
the engine is taking a long time to prime and pump up oil. The filter is
full now (checked it) so something must be happening. I'll let you folks
know the final results are. Hopefully all will end well.
