From the experiences pro mechanics I've talked to have had with various tanks, I'd say you get what you pay for. I got my tank from Van Café for $175 plus shipping. It fits my '85 Westy perfectly, it came properly boxed with all the holes in the tank plugged or covered to keep crap out, and I'm happy with it after three years now. I've heard some are shipped without all the openings covered and poorly packaged, and cardboard or other packing materials end up in the tank, causing horrendous problems. http://www.van-cafe.com/home/van/page_1178_1457/fuel-gas-tank.html Stuart -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of John Dillon Sent: Tuesday, June 09, 2015 5:01 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Gas Tank woes ... anyone ever order from here …http://tinyurl.com/pot9b4o <http://tinyurl.com/pot9b4o> I think the first one is the one bus depot sells that, in my case didn’t fit worth a fiddler’s f&ck, and the second one seems like a much higher quality tank for the same price is the one i got from bus depot … jdd
