Lose 'em. When we bought our '87 it was missing one (actually just broken and flung in the wayback), two others were chipped and/or cracked, and only one was unscathed. I took them off, not minding the look of naked steelies. My bride, however, did mind so she arranged for Santa to bring us a set of dog dish chromed ones from GoWesty. These look pretty butch on the van, but I found they needed to be waxed or clearcoated immediately or they will rust within a year, which mine did.
They are still on the van and looking shabby but I have a set of Mercedes alloy CLK wheels in the garage awaiting new tires.

What's your take on plastic wheel covers. I have stock 14" wheels; 2 are
missing the center hub. I am not willing to spring for fancy new wheels.
(I'd rather put that $$$ int other upgrades.) I could clean up my old
ones and try to find center hubs. (I will be having the corner damage
repaired when I resolve the settlement with the insurance co.)
Do plastic wheel covers generally fall off or get damaged easily?
