Sorry, sounds like my '61 Ford Econoline.  That engine "nestled between
the front seats" was a heating plant -- immediate flashbacks to summer
trips through the Mojave Desert, or the Sac valley and up to Chico, or
the thousand miles across Saskatchewan and Manitoba without one tree ...
or.  I need to go out into the mountain air now...
