Do you have mud daubers in your neck of the woods? We have plenty in Florida. Any open line or bolt hole is quickly filled. I would undo the lines and flush with AC flush or isopropyl alcohol. Replace the o-rings in the lines and Schrader valves on the fill ports. If you don't flush at least blow air through them. -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Michael McSwain Sent: Thursday, July 02, 2015 10:50 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: A/C Flush? I'm a few short steps away from reviving my Behr A/C system in my van. It's one of the ones mounted in the dash. When I bought the van there was no compressor and the hoses at that end were not sealed up in any way. I was about to take a stab at flushing the lines out this afternoon, but thought it better to do a bit more research. Is it necessary to flush the system at all? I would love to just vacuum and charge. If so, would I need to avoid flushing the expansion valve, my new dryer or any other parts? Any advice would be welcome. -- m.
