Subject:Re: Blow cv joint on 97 heading for Bend

Afternoon all,
We're happily back up and on the road again!
No cv problem - problem was that a lug sheared behind the hub and started a little mayhem...
HUGE thanks to Vern for the spare parts and Brad for the shop recommend.
We landed at Integrity Auto in Bend - I can't say enough good things about Jonathan the owner. I would move to Bend specifically to have him be my full time mechanic... As if Bend need more reasons to be here.
Cheers again to the network.
You guys are life savers.
Jvk

See if that doesn't buy you a lot of miles. When I have made it home at three in the morning nursing a horribly rattling joint, the offending clearances upon inspection were mere thousandths though it sounded like it was going to explode. Drive on.
