How old/many km's on the Hall Sender in the distributor ? fwiw... I have rarely seen a faulty coil.. weak ones ..sure. But not generally failure prone in my experience. when I do get a 2.1 waterboxer with unexplained intermittent starting / running. and miles are high I consider the Hall Sender for sure. I always carry a spare known-good Distributor. Not big or heavy, easy to replace.
