You can get to it I am pretty sure, but I think you have to get that big
pulley off and that is something best done at a VW shop if you don't have
the special tool or tools that can be used in combination. I think that is
the problem. If course the exhaust system has to come off too. I'd call a
shop.

Spray it off and check that it really is coming from there. If it's
anywhere to the left, suspect the oil cooler.
