Just watch for the wires going to the overhead lights.

Subject: adding an assist handle to the driver's side

I have an assist handle that is identical to the one on the passenger side that I'd like to install on the driver's side. It looks like all I need to do is drill the holes in a pattern similar to the passenger side and then screw the handle in place. Before I start drilling I want to get the experience of anyone else that might have done this to be sure there aren't any unexpected gotchas I might encounter. My van is an '87 Syncro.
