Subject:Re: why is water squirting from city hook up

Jim,

I think you mean the hook up, not the faucet. Last time I looked at a Delta Six faucet it was a glued together assembly except for the knob.

I think it's the check valve in the brass fittings just inside the delta six faucet. You can easily take it apart, clean it and put it back together. Just a ball and a spring. Likely no need to replace it.

That's a bad check valve in the city water hookup box, which I assume is the original Delta Six design. Time for a replacement, and I highly recommend the Go Westy replacements: http://www.gowesty.com/ec_view_details.php?id=23580 <http://www.gowesty.com/ec_view_details.php?id=23580&category_id=127&category_parent_id=> &category_id=127&category_parent_id=

It's unlikely to leak into the van, so you could just cap it off with a hose end cap if you don't use city water.

I don't think there would be much back pressure from the small pump that would force water out at the connection. It dribbles down the outside of the van but I'm worried it also may be leaking down the inside behind the kitchen. Any ideas on this?
