use good hose clamps. the nicest ones I've found are german with curled up edges so they don't dig into the hose. the common american kind ....whether the smaller # 4 and $ 6 size.. or the more common wider type, have sharp edges that dig into the hose some. i'm sure good hose clamps can be found online somewhere. oh...one of my many little tricks.. if the metal pipe is corroded , I like to put a little permatex high tack gasket sealer on the pipe there. Prevents/reduces corrosion, comes apart just fine some day in the future. scott On 10/5/2015 11:24 AM, John Rodgers wrote: > > Mostly its about getting those hoses on. > > Thanks, > > John > > On Oct 5, 2015 01:16, "SDF ( aka ;jim lahey' - Scott )" > <scottdaniel@turbovans.com <mailto:scottdaniel@turbovans.com>> wrote: > > I would install the oil cooler, and snug down the nut that holds > it a little .. > at first, > then get the hoses on so there's no tension or stress on them, > and after those are in place perfectly, tighten the 27mm nut to > final torque. > > if that's what you mean. > just do nice careful work. > scott > > On 10/4/2015 4:49 PM, John Rodgers wrote: >> The water pump and adjoining plumbing is all in place.
