The LEDs go like this, at least on all but the very early models. There are two vertical columns of lights. The right hand column indicates the status of the battery. The top three of the left hand column indicate the water level in the onboard tank. The bottom light (it is an incandescent light and not an LED because they didn't have blue lights back then, if your is original) tells you whether the burner light is lit on the fridge. There is also a sight glass through the wall of the fridge into the combustion chamber so you can look directly at the flame. Over time experience will tell you what a good robust flame looks like. It should be a nice even row of blue on the bottom with orange over that. It is a lot easier to see at night than in the day. Let me know if you need an overlay with the legend for the indicator light on it.
