I have seen a Fiamma awning get torn by the wind and the owner was unable
to roll up it up in order to leave the camp site. I have one and it sits in
my garage.

I opt for a stand alone canopy (the EZ up kind but smaller) which I can
move around depending on the direction of the sun (instead of moving the
van)
