Thanks Gene. Going through the cable hole would have been my first attempt. Thanks for confirming it's doable and it yielded good results. -Dick- -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Gene P Sent: Monday, December 28, 2015 12:19 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Noisy speedo Dick Wong wrote: "That's a lot more than I ever want to get into the speedo." Then drip maybe five or six drops of Super Lube into the little hole the cable goes into. I did this a year ago and not a sound since. Obviously not as precise or thorough as others are suggesting, but a quick and easy first try. Worked for me. Dennis says Super Lube and at 5 bucks, why not? I strongly suggest the bottle, not a spray can. Spraying into a confined hole tends to blow back and also lubricate your eyes, effective but painful. How would I know that? http://www.amazon.com/Super-Lube-51004-Synthetic-Viscosity/dp/B000UKUHXK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1451332998&sr=8-2&keywords=super+lube ----- No virus found in this message.
