Except for them breaking during a hose-injector change or other service is the crimp ring on the end failing from rust and allowing that end plug to fly out. If the end crimp is not rusting you are probably OK. There is an o-ring in there which I have never seen fail but I guess it is possible. I've heard lots about old fuel lines and the plastic coupling at the firewall being disasters waiting to happen, but not as much about the fuel rails. I got a bunch of gowesty bucks for Christmas and I'm wondering if it's worth springing the $64 for new rails. Nothing about my current rails look sketchy to my naked eye. If money were no object I would have a Subaru engine and a new paint job, but unfortunately moneys tight and I'm sitting here thinking about some other things I could get with that $64. Opinions?
