Stock 1.9L, 1984 Westy. Tune Up? When it runs like crap. Got a rebuilt distributor about a year ago: it made a huge difference in gas mileage and performance. Oil Changes? 2X per year regardless of mileage. My mileage varies wildly, sometimes 6000 miles per year. Other times less than 1500 miles per year. So tune-up frequency also varies wildly. Oil changes steady as she goes. It gives my esteemed mechanic a reason to look around for trouble. > On Feb 21, 2016, at 5:07 PM, bernie <1234bjs@gmail.com> wrote: > > I have a 1985 with a 1.9 and I run Mobil 1 15/50 synthetic with Mobil 1 > M205 Extended performance filter. > I have been changing the oil every 10,000 kilometres which is 6000 miles. > Am I changing it too often? > Thanks in advance. > > Bernie > Vancouver BC >
