Well, I guess I was wrong.

Update: Got a jump, it started up right away. Drove over to OReily' s and they checked the battery and said it was charged, but still tested as bad. So I bought a new battery.

End of story? No.

Came home, relaxed. Then went to go out, and now it won't start again.

I did not see any loose wires, but it's newer than our beloved Vanagons.

On older cars you can reset the computer by disconnecting the battery for 60 seconds. When you reconnect, you need to do a drive sequence including a number of elements: the net should give you some answers on that. Make sure it's specific to your car.
